The Anatomy and Physiology students at Beaverton Jr./Sr. High School visited the “Real Bodies” on exhibit at the Sloan Museum. They were amazed at the details shown in these plasticized, real bodies on display. They were able to see parts of the human body in a unique and remarkable way.

Sacred Heart Holiday Bazaar November 17-18

The Sacred Heart Holiday Bazaar will be held on Friday, November 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday, November 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission to the event is free for both days; coffee will also be available and free both days.

GLADWIN On Saturday, November 11, at 11 a.m., the Veterans Day program took place outside of the Gladwin County Courthouse at the Veterans Memorial. The event began with the Gladwin High School Band, led by Directors, Douglas Lull and Melissa Sapienza.

Two Gladwin residents, Kathy and Gary, are seeking information about the history of the Hockaday Community Church, 3940 N Hockaday Rd, Gladwin, from 1900 to the present day. They have already gathered the majority of the information but said they have gaps they are still trying to fill.

Feeding America November 10

A food truck will be hosted by Living Hope Assembly of God on November 10, Billings Township Park, located at 4404 Wieman Road. Hours for groups will be: A-H, 10 a.m.; I-P, 11 a.m.; and Q-Z, 12 p.m. Make up time will be 12:30 p.m. Bring your own basket or tote. This will be a walk-through.

Free Thanksgiving supper November 11

The annual free special Thanksgiving Second Saturday Supper will be held on Saturday, November 11 at the New Beginnings Methodist Church, 309 S. M-18, Gladwin, across from Loose Motor Sales. This will be a takeout only meal. Please call ahead, 989-737-9016, for any orders exceeding 10 meals.
