The Gladwin High School hockey team received their new locker room at the Gladwin Community Arena. With the help of sponsors, they were able to add some new features to their locker room, one of which gives each player their own locker.

Golden Key Camp receives Mayoral Proclamation

On November 1, Mayor Sarah Kile presented a mayoral proclamation to Lisa Kujawa, the founder of the Golden Key Camp, proclaiming that the month of November as community Gold Awareness month, to raise awareness of childhood cancer.

Marriage licenses may double in price

Some state legislators want to raise the price of marriage licenses for the first time in 60 years, more than doubling the fee.
The current fee for in-state licenses is $20, and it would rise to $50 if the bill passes.
The bill is sponsored by nine House Democrats, including Reps.

Gladwin City Council discusses new business

GLADWIN PUBLIC HEARING
On November 6, Gladwin City Council held their first meeting of the month. The meeting began with council going into a public hearing for mosquito abatement. Two bids for mosquito control in Gladwin were received and reviewed by council in previous council meetings.
