BEAVERTONThe Beaverton Activity Center, located at 106 Tonkin Street in Beaverton, will be holding grief and loss support classes from Nov. 5 through Dec. 17 from 3-4 p.m. There will be no meeting held on Nov. 26 due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Riverwalk Place Jeep Creep 2025 will take place on Friday, Oct. 17, and Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025. Saturday marks the main lineup of festivities with things kicking off at 9 a.m. with the breakfast and vendor tents. Beer tents open up at 11 a.m., kids zone is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

ROSCOMMON COUNTYWith fire danger extremely high across much of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula today, firefighters are working near Houghton Lake in Roscommon County to contain a wildfire burning since Sunday afternoon, Oct. 5, near the Roscommon State Forest Area.

OGEMAW COUNTYA70-year-old man from Ogemaw County was reunited with family Tuesday, Sept. 30, after becoming lost near his home earlier that day.Around 11:30 a.m. the man wandered away from his home, a wooded and rural area located near County Highway F-18 and M-30 in Edwards Township.
