GLADWINThe Gladwin County Crimestoppers annual Shop With a Hero event was held Thursday when 24 eager young shoppers boarded a JAG Motorcoach bus at the Beaverton Fire Department and traveled to Meijer in Midland with 24 heroes to pick out Christmas presents for themselves and their families.

Revival of iconic license plate for America’s 250th anniversary

LANSINGSecretary of State Jocelyn Benson today announced the return of Michigan’s beloved red, white, and blue license plate in celebration of the United States’ semiquincentennial, marking 250 years of independence. Drivers can order the limited-edition plate from Jan. 2 until the end of the year.
