Cup of Joe free gatherings to start

GLADWIN COUNTYAll U.S. military and veterans are invited to Cup of Joe, a free gathering where veterans can enjoy coffee, treats, share stories, learn about resources, and connect with fellow vets.It will take place on the first Tuesday of every month, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Scholarship applications

FREELANDHundreds of scholarships are awarded annually through the Delta College Foundation, made possible by the generosity of donors. Last year, $1,107,500 was awarded to 948 students – 83 percent of all applicants! The deadline to apply is Feb. 4, 2026.

Minards sentenced after pleading guilty to felonies

LANSINGoday, Robert Minard,T48, and Anné Minard, 38, both of Bath Township, were sentenced by Judge James Jamo of the 30th Circuit Court in Ingham County to a 6-month delayed sentence and 36 months of probation, announced Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.
