ST. LOUISThe first Jack Pine Conference meet of the season was a dream for the Gladwin golf team.The Flying G’s topped the field of seven with a team total of 175 at Hidden Oaks in St. Louis last Monday.“It was a great first showing in our conference,” said Gladwin coach Nic Taratuta.

In the first game of the season, the Gladwin soccer team lost 7-1 to Standish, the squad everyone expected to rampage through the Jack Pine Conference for a second straight year.

ST. LOUISThe Gladwin Junior High School boys’ track team swept dual meets from host St. Louis 103-33 and Shepherd 72-65 last Tuesday.Garrison Farley won the 55 hurdles and took the 200 hurdles with Parker Grove second and Nate Bowen third.

Gladwin baseball season finally opens
