Gladwin girls win JPC Junior High title

STANDISHThe Gladwin Junior High girls’ track team won the Jack Pine Conference Meet title last Tuesday at Standish, finishing first with 94 points. Harrison was second with 71.5, followed by Standish with 60.5 and Beaverton with 14.

SHEPHERDApair of gold medalists helped the Gladwin boys’ track team place fourth Saturday at the Jack Pine Conference Championship Meet at Shepherd.The host Blue Jays won the team title with 174.5 points, followed by Clare with 146, Meridian with 94.5 and the Flying G’s with 58.5.

LANSINGThe Michigan Department of Natural Resources has announced a required five-year Consumer Price Index adjustment for snowmobile trail permit fees. Starting this year, the fee will increase from $52 to $65 and will remain in place for the next five-year period.
