Art and Appetizers workshop offered Nov. 17

Kiwanis Club installs new president for 2022-23

GLADWIN At a recent Gladwin Kiwanis Club meeting, past President Duane Miller installed Dave Crawford as the new President for 2022-2023. The Kiwanis service year runs from October 1 to September 30.

Gladwin to host Veterans Day recognition program

GLADWIN AVeterans Day ceremony is set to take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 11, at the Gladwin County Courthouse near the Veterans Memorial. The community is invited to attend this program to honor and show appreciation of wartime and peacetime veterans.

Beginning 40 days before the Election you can vote early in person or apply for an absentee ballot at your city/township clerk’s office. You can apply for the absentee ballot and vote that ballot during the same visit! Early voting continues until 4 p.m. the day before the election.

Lee’s Auto Center closes after 50 years

BEAVERTON Lee’s Auto Service Center, Inc. has closed their doors as of October 26, 2022. Since 1972, Lee’s Auto Service Center has been a family owned and operated business located at 3520 Calhoun Rd. in Beaverton.

Emergency Food and Shelter Funds available

GLADWIN COUNTY Gladwin County has been awarded $12,397 from the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county.

Beaverton alumna prepares for World Skate Games

ARGENTINA What was just supposed to be a day of fun became a drive to compete for Loryn Roberson. Taking part in an event in Goldendale, Washington Loryn is now bound for Argentina this month to participate in the World Skate Games.
