Kiwanis Club inducts two new members

GLADWIN At a recent meeting of the Gladwin Kiwanis Club, President Dave Crawford and Membership Chair Duane Miller, welcomed Carrie Will (Executive Director of Gladwin County Chamber of Commerce) and Lori Johnson as new members of the club.

The Gladwin Masonic Lodge #397 again donated to Hospice of Gladwin Area, for their annual, Duck Race Fundraiser, and an extra $200 to be used as they see fit. Hospice helps in so many ways making difficult times in peoples lives a little more comfortable.
The Beaverton Farmers Market takes place every Friday from 2-6 p.m. at Ross Lake Park. On July 7 they will have a Kid’s Day event. There will be free popsicles, face painting, temporary tattoos, giveaways and more!

Chicken BBQ at the Masonic Lodge July 8

GLADWIN The Gladwin Masonic Lodge will hold its Annual Chicken BBQ Saturday, July 8 in conjunction with Gladwin Fun Days. The Lodge will prepare 150 meals and serve from 11 a.m. until the chicken is gone, so come early and don’t miss out.

Free Second Saturday Supper July 8

GLADWIN The Free Second Saturday Supper will be held Saturday, July 8, at the New Beginnings United Methodist Church located at 309 S. M-18, Gladwin, across from Loose Motor Sales (the old Ford Dealership). This will be a takeout only meal.

City council holds public hearing and discusses road commission millage

GLADWIN On Wednesday, June 28, City Council held a public hearing for the drinking water state revolving funds, and discussed the Road Commission’s County wide millage. PUBLIC HEARING The city has asked ROWE to apply on the city’s behalf for funding.

Gladwin Conservation District receives grant

GLADWIN The Gladwin Conservation District has recently been awarded a grant from the Saginaw Bay Watershed Initiative Network (WIN). Saginaw Bay WIN is a community-based, voluntary initiative that connects people, resources, organizations, and programs.
