Sons of the American Legion to meet

GLADWINAmerican Legion Post 171 is announcing the formation of the Sons of the American Legion (SAL) Squadron.Any adult whose father or grandfather served in the U.S. military is eligible to join.Meetings will take place at the American Legion Post located at 128 N. Silverleaf St. in Gladwin, 6 p.m.

DNR reports Gladwin County’s first CWDpositive wild deer

Gladwin is now the 18th Michigan county where chronic wasting disease has been identified in the wild deer population, according to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. A hunter-harvested deer from Clement Township recently tested positive for the disease.
