Toy Drive in memory of Colston Zieroff

BEAVERTON There is a toy drive being put on in memory of Colston Zieroff at Cluttered Closets & Boutique, 123 W. Brown St. in Beaverton. You can drop off donations every week, Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. until December 8.

LFC hosts Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt at Riverview Natural Area

MIDLAND The Little Forks Conservancy is hosting a Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt at Riverview Natural Area this fall season! From October 26 to November 3, scarecrows will be placed around the preserve along with educational materials to inform visitors about the environment around them.

Relay For Life Craft and Vendor Show slated

GLADWIN On November 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Gladwin Knights of Columbus Club Hall, 751 S. M-18, Gladwin. The event is free to attend and will have over 20 local vendors and a food truck available. There will also be a Silent Auction Fundraiser with donated items by vendors.

COA monthly caregiver support group slated to meet

GLADWIN COUNTY Council on Aging, Gladwin County (COA) will have its monthly caregiver support group on Wednesday, October 18, and November 15, December 20, 1:30 p.m. at the Antler Arms High Rise This confidential support group is for caregivers taking care of a loved one, age 60 or over.

GACB Christmas concert rehearsals

GLADWIN The Gladwin Area Community Band (GACB) invites musicians to join as they prepare for and perform its 2023 Christmas concert. This will be the band’s second Christmas concert and its fourth concert overall since it began last year. Rehearsals will be held at Gladwin High School, 1400 N.

BEAVERTON Beaverton Schools is on the ballot on Nov. 7, and school leaders are working hard to make sure voters understand the stakes. The ballot request is the standard 18-mill nonhomestead operating millage renewal that every school district in the state is required to request every few years.
