City of Beaverton mayoral candidates speak on issues

BEAVERTON Current Beaverton Mayor, Raymond Nau, is running again in the upcoming November 7 election. There is another candidate that is running against Nau though, James Case. Nau gave a few examples of some of the main things that have been worked on over the past year in the city.

GLADWIN ABowling For Books Fundraiser will take place on November 18, 6 p.m. at Meadow Lanes located at 430 W. 5th Street in Gladwin. Proceeds from the event will provide books for children ages 0-5. It will also feature prizes, a silent auction, bake sale and a 50/50 raffle.

GLADWIN On Friday, October 20, Gladwin High School and Junior High students were dismissed from school early out of caution due to a gas leak that was located outside of the high school. Superintendent Charles Frisbie shared that the gas leak was located outside of Gladwin High School.

GLADWIN The Bra-La-La breast cancer awareness and support fundraiser made it’s return on Wednesday, October 18. The event was hosted at Riverwalk Place by the MyMichigan Health Foundation as a way to raise awareness to breast cancer education, support, and early detection.
