GLADWIN COUNTYMemorial Day was celebrated on Monday with parades through town and solemn ceremonies held at the War Memorial in Gladwin and the Veterans Memorial in Ross Lake Park in Beaverton.James Volant, Commander of American Legion Post 171, led the presentation in Gladwin.

Preparation was everything as paddlers prepared to take on the 12.5-mile trip from City Park to Ross Lake Park Saturday morning.
