Sacred Heart Mission Holiday Bazaar upcoming

GLADWINThere will be a Sacred Heart Mission Holiday Bazaar event on Friday, November 22, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday, November 23, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Activity Center, 402 N. Silverleaf St. There is free admission and free coffee for both days.

Bells ring for hospice

GLADWINNovember is National Hospice month. In memory of loved ones, Hospice of Gladwin Area has scheduled its annual Ringing of the Bells.The memorial service will be held at the Gladwin Free Methodist Church, located at 1312 N. State Street.The service is open to the community.

October is Domestic Awareness month and on Saturday, October 12, Shelterhouse of Gladwin hosted their first ever Domestic Violence Awareness Rally at the brick pavilion in the Gladwin City Park. The rally included an awareness walk through downtown, food, games, prizes, and giveaways.

Construction of a new water well is underway at Leo Ross Memorial Park. The EGLE $10.3 million water grant for water improvements is being used to cover the new water well, water tower, water mains, water meters, and to replace water lines in the city over the next year.

GLADWINThe Gladwin Kiwanis Club will continue the tradition of selling roses to coincide with Sweetest Day, a day to recognize the special folks in your life. Sweetest Day this year is Saturday, October 19.Members of the Kiwanis Club will be taking orders for delivery on October 17 and 18.

Hospice of Gladwin to hold special support program

GLADWINHospice of Gladwin Area is offering a special support program that will focus on the holidays and how to get through them. It will be offered at our office building in the Gladwin Free Methodist Church in Gladwin on October 22, in two identical sessions: one from 3:30-5 p.m.
