Franklin Earl Dicken

Franklin Earl Dicken, age 84, of Saginaw, MI. passed away peacefully in his sleep at Traditions of Saginaw on Sept. 30, 2026.

Frank was born in Gladwin, MI. on Oct. 4, 1941, the fourth of eight children of Charles and Elsie White Dicken. He was named after his maternal grandfather, Franklin White and his paternal grandfather, Earl Dicken. Frank was a lifelong bachelor and is survived by six of his brothers and sisters; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Frank worked for over 30 years as a butcher for A&P grocery. He retired in 1989 due to health concerns.

He was an avid golfer, his condo in Bay City bordered a golf course and he played many Michigan courses, as well as traveling to Texas, South Carolina and Florida to enjoy the sport. His plaque for a “Hole in One” bore the name of his cousin, the late Fred Sisco, of Gladwin, as a witness.

Frank was as tough as nails and never complained about anything. He also lived up to his name as he spoke frankly about many issues. He loved his family who will greatly miss him and his stalwart personality. No services are planned at this time.
