The Thunder on the Strip event took place on Saturday, September 9 at the Zettel Memorial Airport, with the first race beginning at 11:14 a.m., and the final race at 4:08 p.m. The weather for the day was 72 degrees and sunny, there was quite a large turnout for the event, in both racers and spectators.
