Gladwin CC places fourth

  • Gladwin girls participated in the Under the Lights Invitational, night time cross country meet in St. Johns Friday night, August 18. The girls team did well with taking ninth out of 18 schools participating at the 11th annual event in St Johns. Coach Bob Sackrider, St. Johns Cross Country coach started this event as one of the first meets of the season available to local cross country runners. Gladwin’s Abby Robinson took sixth place out of the 175 runners with a time of 20:26.9.

    Gladwin High School Cross Country Boys and Girls teams traveled to St. Johns for their first cross country meet of the season. Not only was it the first meet, it was also the first meet for all the runners and the coaches to be held at night under the lights.
