Layk Woodruff with a three-point buzzer beater to end the game. It doesn’t get any more thrilling than that. The 10-6 Beaverton Beavers hosted the 10-6 Ogemaw Heights Falcons in boys varsity basketball last Wednesday. The game was a close affair with every second counting, ever so crucially, to the game’s final tick. The Falcons put on a spectacular performance; however, victory was Beaverton’s. The final score, 57-54.
“The guys stepped up in the second half to get us back in the game. They executed well at the end of the game to give Layk a shot to beat the buzzer,” Shad Woodruff, Beaverton coach, said after the game.
