William J. “Bill” Torres
William J. “Bill” Torres, age 83, of Beaverton, passed away on May 1, 2026. He was born on March 25, 1943, the son of Carl and June (Frederickson) Torres, in Midland.
On August 30, 1991, he married the love of his life, Riva Eastman. Together they shared 55 years of love and cherished memories. Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Following his service, he worked as a Foreman at Dow Chemical and SC Johnson for several years until his retirement.
William loved the outdoors, often spending his time fishing, hunting, and boating. He liked keeping his hands busy and enjoyed woodworking. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, cherishing the moments he spent with them.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Riva Torres; children: Karla and Jason Kennedy, Heidi (Torres) Sherwood, Chris and Gretchen Torres, and Tonya and Mike Endicott; 13 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Ed Torres.
