Bill proposes age restrictions on buying, carrying firearms

Abill proposed by House Democrats would raise the minimum age to purchase certain firearms.

It would change the minimum age to purchase a firearm over 26 inches from 18 to 21. That could include rifles, shotguns and AR-style weapons.

It would also prevent people under 21 from possessing a firearm in public without supervision from someone above that age.
