Patricia Lynn Petherbridge, of Beaverton, age 68, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, surrounded by her family at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at Gladwin Free Methodist Church later in the spring.
Patty was born in Lapeer, Michigan on Jan. 13, 1957. She married David D. Petherbridge, Jr. on July 29, 1977. Patty dedicated over 30 years working at the Back Door Deli and Pizzeria in Gladwin. Caring for children was a big part of her life. She ran an in-home daycare for many years and volunteered in the nursery at her church. She was lovingly known as “Gigi” to her grandbabies, who meant the world to her.
Patty enjoyed being outdoors, especially camping and fishing, and she was proud that she often outfished the men. She loved watching and feeding the birds, with hummingbirds being her favorite. She also found happiness in gardening, canning, and tending to her flowers.
Patty is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dave; children, Mike (Trisha) Petherbridge and Kerri (Kevin) Borton, daughterin- law, Carissa Lambert; grandchildren, Robert, Mikayla, Kevin Jr., Konnor and Kohen; five great-grandchildren; mother, Patricia Andrews; sisters, Rose, Tammy, Cindy and Kim; and several nieces, nephews and close cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Clarice (Baughn) Andrews.
