Lorna Jean Quillet, age 82, of Beaverton, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. She was born on March 28, 1943, the daughter of Ray and Vida (Campbell) Knachel in Lansing, MI. On Nov. 12, 1966, she married the love of her life, Harley Quillet. Together, they shared 58 years filled with love and cherished memories.
Lorna was the type of person to make friends easily. She told others what she thought and was quick to forgive people. She was a great cook and baker. Lorna loved to craft, often spending her free time sewing and knitting. She loved playing cards and was great at it too. She had a green thumb, taking care of flower gardens along with her vegetable garden which led to many quarts of canned veggies.
Lorna was a kind and generous spirit, always giving canned and baked goods to others. Most of all, Lorna deeply loved her family.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Harley; grandchildren: Brandy Quillet and Robert Stoll; great-grandchildren: Vincent, Cameron, Colton, and Cashton; and greatgreat- grandchild, Vincent.
She will be missed by her sister, Barb; brother-in-law, Bob Levin; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Vida; son, Mark Quillet; sister, Ruby Knachel Levin; brother, Al Knachel; and brothers-in-law: Dave Jarvis and Don Hamilton.
