GLADWINThere was another successful Gladwin/ Beaverton Community Food Distribution (GBCFD) in the parking lot of Christ the King Lutheran Church on Saturday, Sept.20, 2025.Approximately 14,000 pounds of food from the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan was passed out to 215 households.

Cadillac man arrested in Seattle, convicted under Operation Survivor Justice

LANSINGOn Friday, Sept. 12, Edward Eugene Smith, 34, formerly of Cadillac and most recently residing in Seattle, WA, was convicted by plea in the 28th Circuit Court in Wexford County, for crimes committed in 2018 against a then-15-year-old victim, announced Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.
