BEAVERTONThe Gladwin County Chamber of Commerce hosted its third Legislative Forum of the year Friday at the Beaverton Community Center, featuring a pair of legislators live from Lansing.

Gladwin American Legion Post 171, located at 128 N. Silverleaf, unveiled a new military memorial mural on August 3, 2025. Painted by local artists Eric and Lynn Morgan, the mural adorns the north wall of the building to honor military service. The project was celebrated with a dedication ceremony featuring guest speakers.

MOUNT PLEASANTProblem solving is probably the most important aspect of competing in robotics and Beaverton had to do a lot of it at the FRC Competition over the weekend at Mount Pleasant High School.The event was the first of the season and the robot was being tested for the first time.
