Senior Scammers event slated

GLADWIN The Brook of Gladwin and the Gladwin County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Senior Scammers event for information about spam phone calls. The featured speaker at the event is Gladwin County Sheriff Mike Shea.

GLADWIN On Friday, May 10, the Gladwin County Chamber of Commerce (GCCC) held their final Legislative Breakfast of the year, focused around city government. Speakers at the event included Honorable Judge Tara Hovey, Chief Judge Joshua Farrell, Beaverton City Manager Shannon Sirpilla, and Gladwin City Manager Chris Shannon.

GLADWIN On Thursday, May 9, at the regular meeting of the Gladwin County American Legion Post #171, Commander Jim Volant presented an award to Terry Brokoff for his outstanding service to the American Legion and The American Legion Baseball Team. Terry has been involved with the Gladwin County Baseball Team since 1992.

Beaverton flower planting upcoming

BEAVERTON Beaverton Mayor Ray Nau has invited the community to join him and the Beaverton City Manager, Shannon Sirpilla, in the city’s annual flower planting. Flowers will be planted around the city in large flowerpots and in the ground in some areas.
