Crews are working steadily to prepare for gate installation. Last month, all pier walls were completed, allowing work to begin on the primary spillway baffle blocks and end sill. Significant progress was made on the rehabilitation of the controls building. They installed a new brick façade and began installation of the roof and staircase. The left embankment extension work was nearly completed before crews began focusing on the right embankment crest crane pad. Final concrete placements for the low level outlet are on schedule and nearing completion.

The center pier is advancing as scheduled and is expected to reach completion by mid June. Gate installation in bay one is underway, with crews efficiently setting both the lower and upper gate sections. Electrical teams are actively installing conduit and wiring throughout the spillway, while the mechanical crew has begun welding heat piping for the horizontal seal system and has successfully completed the initial round of pressure testing.
