As spring (slowly!) unfolds, those with ears to hear and a curious nature will find a growing symphony of sounds in their yard and neighborhood, and some may wonder, “What bird made that sound?” Knowing bird songs and calls helps birders know what’s out there and can be an exciting challenge.

GLADWIN COUNTYSKYWARN spotter training will take place April 28, 6-7 p.m., at Sage Township Hall. The hall is located at 1831 W. Pratt Lake Road in Gladwin.
