Jim Ogg, native of Gladwin, again participated in the Transplant Games of America, a biennial event held in different locations around the United States each time to highlight the full life that transplant recipients can lead and the need for donors nationwide.

LINWOODWith an impressive five wins this past weekend Linwood Post 239 claimed the 2026 FAAST Summer Slam Championship. Linwood defeated MSA Gates 18U 10-2, SW Oakland Warriors 18U 4-3, Foutch Select 18U, 4-3, Brighton Bulldogs 12-1 and Foutch Select in the Championship Game Sunday 13-7.

LINWOODThe season continued for Linwood Post 239 with the first game of the SVSU Baseball Cardinal Classic on June 23 versus the Oakland Bulldogs, which Post 239 won 6-2.

Beaverton’s Landon Love was one of 10 pitchers to earn First Team All-State honors in Division 3 from the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association.Love completed his senior year with a record of 9-2 with 109 strikeouts in 61.1 innings pitched.
