BEAVERTONWay back in April, the Beaverton baseball team lost both ends of a doubleheader to Meridian.Both games were close, as befitting the rivalry between the two schools, with the Mustangs taking the opener 4-2 and then winning the nightcap 2-1 in just four innings of action due to conditions.

CADILLACThe Gladwin Junior High girls’ track team placed fifth with 49 points at last Wednesday’s Division 2 regional at Cadillac. Chippewa Hills won the team title with 174, followed by Shepherd with 101, Kingsley with 89, Surline with 79 and then the Flying G’s.

Two splits brought an end to the regular season for the Gladwin softball team last week.On Tuesday, the Flying G’s did not manage a hit in a 10-0 loss at St. Louis in the first game of a doubleheader, but bounced back for a 5-4 victory in the second game.
