The wait was long, but the celebration made it worthwhile when the Standish-Sterling football team topped visiting Pinconning 21-8 Friday night for its first victory of the season.
“It was a great win for the program,” said SSC coach Marty Malcolm. “It was a great thing for our seniors to get a win and the boys were really letting off a lot of steam when it was over.
