Two tough teams were waiting for the Gladwin hockey team when the Flying G’s headed north to Cheboygan for a weekend showcase.
Rochester Hills Stoney Creek was first up on Friday night and the locals pulled out a tough 4-2 victory.
“They always have a solid team and they beat us last year,” said Gladwin coach Bill von Matt. “That was a really good game. The boys did a nice job that night.”
