The girls are off and running last Wednesday at the first Jack Pine Conference jamboree of the season at Pine River Golf Club in Standish.

The conditions were just right and the Gladwin girls’ cross country team took full advantage with a strong performance at the Veterans Serving Veterans Invitational Saturday in Cadillac.
“The early-morning cooler temperatures, great competition and a course with minimal hills had the team excited to race,” said Gladwin coach Jason Robinson. “They certainly did that.
