Saving the best for last wasn’t good enough for the Gladwin volleyball team.
The Flying G’s put on an outstanding performance last Wednesday night in the Division 2 district semifinals at Standish, but came up short in a 26-24, 22-25, 25-17, 28-26 loss to Alma.
“We lost,” said Gladwin coach Tony Wetmore, “but we may have played our best volleyball all season.
