On a Friday night when the girls’ varsity won its 11th game in a row and three blasts from the past were inducted into the Hall of Fame, the Beaverton boys’ basketball team just had to come through.
Visiting Pinconning made it tough and the rivals had to go to overtime to settle the matter but, when the smoke had cleared, the Beavers pulled out a hard-fought 55-51 victory.
