Getting the new year off to a hot start carried the Beaverton boys’ basketball team to a 52-38 victory over visiting Midland Calvary Baptist Friday night.
The Beavers waited only one day to tip things off in 2026 and roared out of the gate with a 15-8 lead by the end of the first quarter.
It was 31-14 by halftime and the home team put it in cruise control the rest of the way.
