Legion Post learns value of service dogs
Ron Monroe of Mission Six Service Dogs brought Crocket to the American Legion Post 171 meeting Thursday night to discuss the benefits of matching trained dogs with disabled veterans.

The Gladwin County American Legion Post 171 held its monthly meeting Thursday, which included a visit from Ron Monroe, who runs Mission Six Service Dogs, and Crocket, a highly-trained German shepherd.
Monroe travels throughout the region looking for veterans who would benefit from being set up with a service dog and raising funds to keep his program going.
