New coach brings spirit of the old coach to Beaverton boys’ hoop team

BEAVERTON
Shad Woodruff has replaced Roy Johnston as the head coach of the Beaverton boys’ basketball team and, if all goes according to plan, the more things have changed, the more they will stay the same.
Woodruff said he is not out to compete with the legacy of the winningest coach in the history of high school basketball in Michigan but, rather, to keep it going.
