On October 7, area residents, media, and elected officials met at the construction site of the M-30 bridge at the Tobacco River in Edenville Township to celebrate the reopening of the bridge. Michigan Department of Transportation Director Brad Wieferich and Michigan State Representative Bill G. Schuette spoke at the event. The bridge is now currently open.
