Agreat start and a big play at the end were not enough for the Beaverton football team Friday night at Meridian.
The Beavers won the coin toss, took the kickoff, scored a touchdown and added the two-point conversion to open the scoring, then hit a 32-yard touchdown pass to close it.
In between, the Mustangs scored five touchdowns and rolled to a 37-16 victory.
