The pole vault crew went over and above to provide a spark for the Beaverton boys’ track team in a Jack Pine Conference tri-meet at Pinconning Wednesday.
William Warner was first after clearing the bar at 13-6 and Justin Wood was second with an 11-6 effort, but the Beavers did not win another event and wound up losing to the host Spartans 69-42 and to Meridian 117-19.
