  • The Gladwin Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts received some hands on training in Self Defense from Jim Volant and T.H.O.R. Martial Arts. Volant is commander of the Gladwin County American Legion Post #171 who sponsor the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts of Gladwin County. Scoutmaster Brian Sharpsteen requested the class from the American Legion and Volant and his Martial Arts students put the class on. The Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts are very active and have produced numerous Eagle Scouts.
