Gladwin’s (left to right) Elijah Christensen, Caleb Palmreuter, Ben Verellen, John Whitman and Myles Robinson enjoy an invitational victory at Meridian.
Seeking some action during a two-week break in the schedule between Jack Pine Conference jamborees, the Gladwin boys’ cross country team headed to Meridian Saturday for the inaugural Coach Cole Memorial Invitational.
It proved to be a memorable day for the Flying G’s, who placed five runners in the top eight and ran away with the team title with just 20 points. Host Meridian was second with 35.
