Land Hurricane: Derecho
In Northern and Central Michigan, we are very lucky with most weather events. We do have tornados. Fortunately, most of them are not severe – category 4 or 5. They can do significant damage, but we are not exactly “Hurricane Alley” like some western states. I always follow NIXLE watches and warnings on severe thunderstorms and tornados.
