National Peach Month

    JULY IS:

    President Ronald Reagan proclaimed July to be National Peach Month in 1982. Michigan produces more than 21.2 million pounds of peaches valued at more than $9.2 million. Peaches are a vital part of Michigan’s agricultural economy. Most are grown close to Lake Michigan, in Berrien and Oceana counties.

    Peach season is from late July to mid-Sept.
