Betty June (Welch) Underwood
Betty June (Welch) Underwood, age 94, went to her heavenly home on May 19, 2023. She was born in Alma, Michigan, to Leslie and Elois (Duryea) Welch, on March 12, 1929.
She was preceeded in death by her loving husband of 73 years, Gareld Wayne Underwood. Her parents, Leslie and Elois Welch; brother and wife, Juddson and Carol Taylor; brother and wife, Bob and Gene Welch; sister, Jenny Naomi; and daughter-in-law, Delores Underwood.
She is survived by her two sons, Wayne Underwood of Columbia, TN; Doug (Taylor) Underwood of Gladwin, MI; brother, Don (Margret) Welch; several nieces and nephews.
She has four grandchildren, Kirk (Lacey) Underwood, Brandy (Scottie Shrader) Underwood, Ryan (Angie) Underwood, Curtis (Sarah) Underwood. She has 10 great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Dakota, Alana, Hannah, Maddy, Ethan, Molly, Rachel, Lilly, and Legacey; four great-greatgrandchildren, Ivey, Winter, Athena, and Sophia. They all held a very special place in her heart and life.
She loved to play her organ and to make beaded jewelry. One of her favorite past times was to watch Hallmark specials – Christmas ones were her favorite. She also liked to read her TV guide and make special notes of which shows she wanted to watch.
She loved to spend time with her family. Her smile and laugh would light up a room. She was is greatly loved and will be missed by many.
Special note: We had the most amazing grandparents that we could have ever asked for. Until we meet again, we love and will miss you dearly.
