The loving, beautiful soul of Nancy J. Edgar, of Gladwin, passed away at the age of 88, and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 surrounded by her family.
She was born on July 11, 1934 in Gladwin, Michigan to the late Harold and Pearl (Fries) Wray. On February 11, 1951, she met and married the love of her life, Mark Edgar in Flint, Michigan. Together they shared 64 years that were full of love, laughter, and many memories before his passing on July 24, 2015. Before moving to the Gladwin area in June of 1980, Nancy and Mark lived in Swartz Creek.
After moving to Gladwin, Nancy worked as a clerk for Zettel Drugs.
Nancy is survived by her children, Mary Grantner, Beverly Morris, Steven R.
(Sherri) Edgar, and Michael J. Edgar; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and eight great-greatgrandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Wiliam Wray and Lyle Wray, and half brother, Leonard Fries. Nancy is predeceased by her husband of 64 years; son, David Edgar; son-in-law, Gary Grantner; and grandson, Anthony Morris.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Father Marcel Portelli presiding. Family will greet friends at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Gladwin Chapel, 135 North Silverleaf St, Gladwin, Michigan 48624 on Monday, May 8, 2023 from 2-8 p.m. Mrs. Edgar will lie in state at Sacred Heart from 10 a.m.until time of mass on Tuesday. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Gladwin Chapel.
