Shirley J. Wilford, age 86, of Gladwin, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023.
She was born on June 9, 1936, the daughter of Robert “Bob” and Catherine Schafley in Midland.
She graduated from Midland High School in 1954. On December 6, 1958, she was united in marriage to her dedicated husband Lee Wilford. They moved to Lansing where he went to college until 1961. They later moved to Mt. Clemens, before settling and raising their family in Midland.
Shirley enjoyed traveling and family outings. Shirley grew up spending weekends at the cabin on Secord Lake and after retirement they moved to Secord Lake making many new memories together. She was devoted to church and is with her Lord. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. She will be dearly missed and one day will be with dedicated husband and family again.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Lee W. Wilford; son, Lee A.
(Tracy) Wilford; grandchildren, Lee Austin (Audrey) Wilford and Travis (Kaleigh) Wilford.

She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Kathy.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, April 13, 2023, 6:30 p.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until the time of service. She was laid to rest at Midland City Cemetery, Midland. The family wants to thank Gladwin Hospital and the amazing staff, every nurse and doctor involved that helped Shirley throughout her last few days.
