The kind and gentle soul of John C. Frazier, age 89, of Gladwin, left this world for one of eternal life on Friday, March 3, 2023. He was born on August 4, 1933, in Jackson, Michigan to the late Homer and Helen (Phelps) Frazier.
John served his country in the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He worked for Defoe Shipyard in Bay City, Michigan, in the building of guided missile destroyer as an electrician. John also served the Gladwin community as a commissioner on the Gladwin City Housing Commission and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 171. He also loved to serve others by being a volunteer and a caregiver.
John is survived by his daughters, Lorraine Dodge of Gladwin, Rose Rose of Bay City, and step-daughter, Sherry Zamora of Saginaw.
He is predeceased by his parents, and his wife, Caroline Poineau.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on March 26, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Gladwin, Michigan during traditional service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Gladwin Chapel.
