Jim Looker first in River Race of Two Cities

    GLADWIN COUNTY

    The Second Annual River Race of Two Cities was once again held on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. The event attracted 30 people competing on the 12.5-mile trek down the Cedar River from City Park to Ross Lake Park and another two people who dared a 25-yard Cardboard Boat Race in the chilly conditions.

    Marah Ranke was named Community Outreach & Conservation Educator at the Gladwin Conservation District last summer and said she enjoyed her first opportunity to participate in putting the race together.
