JoAnne Cameron

JoAnne Cameron, age 85, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 12, 2026.

She was born in Holly, Michigan, on Jan. 1, 1941, the daughter of Wilbur and Josephine (Mather) Hillier.

On Aug. 8, 1959, she married the love of her life, Paul Cameron, in Gladwin. They shared 55 wonderful years together, until he preceded her in death in 2014.

JoAnne worked at National City Bank, retiring as Assistant Branch Manager in 2003. She loved baking, shopping adventures, traveling, hosting family parties, and the casino. JoAnne also loved supporting her grandchildren at sporting events and watching the Detroit Tigers.

She leaves her loving daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.

Daughters: Peggy Cameron of Midland; Marsha (Mike) Jacobs of Gladwin; Shelly (Dave Tacoma) Frank of Beaverton; Tammy (John) Cameron of Gladwin. They blessed her with six grandchildren: John (Kelsey) Frank of Beaverton; Cameron (Brandi) Grimes of Beaverton; Kalinda (Corey) Simone of Pinckney; Christopher (Ashley) Jacobs of St. Helen; Katelyn (Michael) Gicking of Nashville, TN; Rachel (Andy) Breternitz of Haslett. They blessed her with 15 greatgrandchildren (nine girls and six boys).

She is also survived by her brother, Scott (Chari) Hillier of Gladwin; sister, Lisa (Kirk) McGuire of Florida; sisters-in-law: Patty Haring, Susan Lang, Dorothy Cameron, Joyce Cameron, Louise Cameron, Deb McLincha, Joanne Hillier, and Darlene Hillier; several nieces, nephews and cousins that she cherished dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Cameron; parents, Wilbur (Lela) Hillier and Josephine Hillier; brothers: Don Hillier and Jim Hillier.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, April 17, 2026, 10 a.m., at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin, officiated by Pastor Brad Withrow.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 4-8 p.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, in Gladwin. She will be laid to rest at Grout Township Cemetery, in Gladwin.
